歐洲研發一種最新的防曬藥丸，最近在美國大為流行，由於它的成分主要熱帶蕨類植物萃取物，有豐富的抗氧化劑，可以大為降低皮膚因紫外線造成的傷害，據說效果相當神奇。
炎炎夏日，紫外線超強，經常有機會在戶外曬太陽的人，必須小心謹慎，以防皮膚癌上身！不過現在不用一直擦防曬油，一種在美國新上市的防曬藥丸，標榜吞一顆藥就不怕曬傷，奇妙的療效，連醫生也覺得不可思議。
皮膚科醫生：「我有很多服用Heliocare(防曬藥丸)的病患，告訴我他們在高爾夫球場忘了服藥，第二天服用後，就發現紅疹的多寡差別很大。」
住在佛羅里達州的這位病患，因為曝曬太陽過度，為皮膚疾病所苦，服用了防曬丸之後，狀況大為改善。病患：「我的日光性角化症，症狀減輕了。」
原來這個神奇橘色藥丸，成分是一種熱帶蕨類植物的萃取物，含有豐富的抗氧化劑，能有效預防因紫外線照射皮膚，所引起的癌症和皮膚老化，包括皮膚細胞損壞、發炎等症狀，平均一顆防曬丸約1元美金，每天服用一顆，就能看到效果。病患：「我覺得任何能讓我不再長出斑的方法，對我會比較好。」
目前這種防曬藥丸，並未傳出有任何副作用，它的神奇成分，也被用在一些防曬保養品內，不過醫生建議，不能全然依賴這種防曬藥丸，經常在戶外運動的民眾，還是做好預防措施，將曬傷程度減到最低。

Polypodium leucotomos is particularly promising as a sunscreen in pill form. Studies so far have been small, but they suggest that Polypodium leucotomos can significantly reduce sunburn severity and that it may help prevent skin aging and decrease the risk of cancer from UV radiation. Larger trials are needed to confirm its effectiveness and to determine if there are any side effects at the required doses.
還可以拿來for psoriasis,vitiligo,autoimmune disease
可能會drowsy,不可併吞sedative medicine
